Who we ARE

Sonrise Missions is a Christ-centered 501(c)3 organization blessed by the Spirit of our Lord to share the Gospel, truth, and love of Jesus Christ with the people of Panzaala in Northern Uganda. We do this in practical discipleship ways, such as evangelistic outreaches, teaching the Word of God in Bible studies, providing pre-school and adult education, supporting infrastructure construction progress that provides work skills and employment, and assistance in agricultural production and clean water provision. Though we are a non-denominational Christian ministry, we are an extension of the Calvary Chapel movement, under the pastoral authority of Senior Pastor of Calvary Chapel Old Bridge, Lloyd Pulley. It is the verse by verse system of Bible study used by Calvary Chapel, as taught by Pastor Lloyd Pulley that we share with the people of Panzaala.

Through the generous giving of brothers and sisters like you, we have constructed a community center in Panzaala that functions both as an elementary school and as a place to worship our Lord. We have also focused on health education, disease prevention, and medical outreaches and treatments tailored to the specific needs of this area.

We believe that just as the Father sent His only begotten Son, Jesus, to accomplish his redemptive work, preach the Gospel, and make disciples of those who were called, and Jesus then sent His disciples to do the same, so to now, the Holy Spirit sovereignly empowers and sends those in the body of Christ, according to His purpose and will, to preach the Gospel and to make disciples of all nations.
